CAPE TOWN CAR HIRE
Free delivery to Cape Town’s International Airport. We meet our clients at arrivals with a welcoming note.
CONDITIONS OF CAR HIRE
Vehicles are hired subject to terms and conditions of our standard rental agreement.
Drivers Licenses
The hirer or any authorised driver must be in possession of a valid, unendorsed drivers license that has been in a force for a period of two years. Minimum age is 23 years of age.
Extended Hire Periods
Extension beyond the originally agreed date of termination must be arranged in advance. Failure to do so means that the rental contract is invalid and insurances will fall away.
Kilometres
Kilometres are changed from depot and back to depot.
Borders
No vehicle may be taken over the borders of South Africa. Written permission is required to drive the vehicle more than 500km’s out of Cape Town.
Speedometers
Speedometers are sealed. If tampered with, all long distance car rental rates fall away and 1000km’s per day will be charged.
COLLISION DAMAGE & THEFT WAIVER
Should a hirer accept collision damage and theft waiver, an excess is payable in the case of theft.
Super Cover
Should a hirer accept super cover in addition to Collision Damage and Theft Waiver, a reduced excess is payable in the case of damage or theft.
CDTW Exclusions
No cover is available in respect of the following damage:
Theft of GPS/radio/tape/CD player if security device was not used.
Damage to hubcaps, wheel rims, tyres and glass.
Conditions
All insurance cover is subject to the hirer not having breached the standard terms and conditions of rental.
Sand or Gravel Roads
Any damage caused to an Easy Wheels Car Rental vehicle will not be covered if the damage occurred whilst travelling on a gravel or sand road or any other road without a tar surface.
MISCELLANEOUS CAR HIRE INFORMATION
• Baby seats are available for a once-off fee of R110.
• GPS’s are also available on request at R69 per day.
• Delivery and Collection: A small fee will be levied for after hour’s rentals and collections, or in excess of 20km’s from our nearest branch.
• Contract Fee: R 30
• Additional Driver Fee: R110.00 per additional driver.
• Traffic Fine administration charge: R171
• An Accident Damage Admin fee of R460 per incident will be charged should there be any accident or theft damage to the vehicle.
• The vehicle is rented with a full tank and hirer pays for refuelling on return.
